How it all started...

After having my first child in 2013, I struggled with PPD and PPA. I suffered silently while pumping/feeding Rebecca 8-10x a day. I had a hard time producing milk for her, but pushed myself to breastfeed for over a year. When I had my second child Gabriella in 2015, I noticed the same emotional and physical struggles starting to overcome me. This time, I knew to ask for help. I asked my friend who had had a baby a few months prior if she was willing to donate enough milk to get me through until my milk supply came in. She gave me close to 100 ounces of milk! It was such a selfless gift and I knew I had to somehow repay her.

"In my most vulnerable time in life, came a business that has spread so much happiness to others."

"I decided to put my doctorate in pharmacy in use and lined up a bunch of chemicals and tests to be able to preserve breast milk."

She was the type of person who had everything and was difficult to shop for. I decided to put my doctorate in pharmacy to use and lined up a bunch of chemicals and tests to be able to preserve breast milk. My basement looked like a meth lab. It took about 6months of trial and error to come up with the perfect formula. On Christmas of that year, I knocked on her door and gave her her gift. She cried tears of joy and told me it was the best gift she’s ever received and told me I needed to spread the same joy to other moms. Therefore, MLL was born from the struggle and selflessness of others. In my most vulnerable time in life, it became a business that has spread so much happiness to others around the world.
